A Rustic, Antique, And a Little Bit Rock n Roll Wedding at the Loft and Chapel
Jordan & Janelle | May 16, 2025 | Waukesha, Wisconsin
This wedding had so much personality I don't even know where to start. Rustic antique vibes, a DIY queen bride, a dance floor that never quit, and Janelle's brother showing up as Dumb and Dumber. Yes, really.
A Cozy Celebration at the Loft and Chapel
The Loft and Chapel in Waukesha was the perfect fit for their vision—what started as "modern rustic" evolved into something they called rustic antique, and it was so warm and beautiful. Dusty blue and mauve tones everywhere, sage green on the flower girls and ushers, and handmade details in every corner.
From Coworkers to Forever
Jordan and Janelle met at work, ended up on the same shift, became friends, and then Jordan helped Janelle move into her apartment—and the rest is history. The proposal happened at home on a totally normal day. Janelle was making lunch. Jordan was pacing suspiciously. There was a two-minute delay involving an air fryer. She turned around and he was on one knee. She said yes obviously.
Personal Details Made with Heart
Janelle made the centerpieces, the table décor, and the seating chart herself—with help from friends. One of her favorite moments of the whole weekend was walking into the hall the day before the wedding, after everything was finally set up, and just taking it all in.
Jenga blocks as a guest book.
Thoughtful Choices, Relaxed Traditions
Jordan and Janelle chose to do their first look before the ceremony so they had plenty of time for portraits and chats with close friends and family before the guests showed up.
Dumb and Dumber
The day flowed naturally and nobody took themselves too seriously. Case in point: Janelle's brother and his friend came as Dumb and Dumber. Iconic.
Rock n Roll Sunset Film Vibes
The couple snuck out quickly after dinner for a quick quiet break and some film-like sunset portraits.
And here’s that “rock and roll” that I love - in an elegant-with-a-tattoo-and-a-few-piercings kind of way
A Reception Full of Energy
I love this “don’t you dare” photo!
Spin Spin Spin Janelle was the spinning princess of the night! That gorgeous dress called for it!
I love the way he looked at her all night. So much joy and love!
The dance floor filled up after dinner and that was it—nobody left. Friends and family just went for it all night. Janelle said the reception was her favorite part of the whole day, and honestly, looking at these photos, I completely understand why.
Final Thoughts
Jordan and Janelle’s biggest takeaway? The day goes fast—and that’s okay. Timelines shift, moments blur together, and perfection fades into the background. What lasts are the memories, the laughter, and the feeling of being surrounded by people who love you.
Their advice: cherish every moment, check in with each other throughout the night, and don’t stress when things don’t go exactly as planned. The joy is in the celebration.
